Directions from the NY State Thruway (I 90)

Exit 28, Fonda-Fultonville.  As you exit the toll booth the Mohawk River will be directly in front of you.  Your first turn will be left onto Riverside Drive (you will follow the signs to Johnstown and Route 30A).  Riverside Drive ends at route 30A; turn right, cross the bridge and pass the Fonda Fairgrounds.  This section of the road ends at another T-intersection, turn left.  At the traffic light turn right, and continue on route 30A.  Once in Johnstown, you will pass a Burger King, McDonald's, Friendly's, Ponderosa, and the Holiday Inn.  The first traffic light after the Holiday Inn is at Harrison Street.  Turn left at Harrison, and follow to the end.  The Gloversville Sewing Center is on the right hand corner of Harrison and South Main.  Approximate mileage from the Thruway to the Gloversville Sewing Center is 7 miles.

Directions from the Northway (I 87)

Take exit 15 in Saratoga.  You want to go west on route 50 toward downtown Saratoga.  This is a four lane road.  Where 50 ends at Broadway in Saratoga, go straight (you will have to bear right) and follow the signs for route 9N; this will take you past the Hospital [H]. Follow signs for 29, and take a right onto 29, heading west.  Once on 29 do not turn off until you come to Harrison Street in Gloversville.  (This is at least 30 minutes from Saratoga)  There will be a turn for route 29A and signs for downtown Gloversville but IGNORE this sign and continue on 29.  The Harrison Street turn will be a right hand turn only and have a flashing yellow light (The Sheriff's Dept, Correctional Facility, is on this corner).  Follow Harrison to its end (less than 2 miles), and the Gloversville Sewing Center will be on the right hand corner on South Main Street.
